ASD High School Library: Home

Vision

ASD Libraries serve to inspire and guide students. The libraries provide students with access to information and literature through dynamic virtual and physical spaces. The libraries are a center for collaboration, communication, and innovation.

Purpose Statement

The libraries offer a variety of resources to current ASD students, parents, and employees. We encourage students to become lifelong learners by promoting a love of reading. We collaborate with faculty to teach the skills necessary to meet academic and personal informational needs.

Philosophy

• Patrons follow the ASD Core Values: respect, responsibility, compassion, excellence, and integrity 

• The ASD libraries follow the ALA Library Bill of Rights

• Patrons have the right to see themselves and discover other perspectives in library books and materials

• Patrons have the right to choose what they access

• Patrons respect others’ rights to choose their own materials

• ASD libraries follow the UAE data protection laws

• ASD libraries and their patrons respect the ethical use of information including copyright and citation

Each year, the libraries publish a report with the year's highlights.

Wednesday: 7:45 am to 3:30 pm

Friday: 7:45 am to 12:30 pm
