Social Awareness - NewselaSocial awareness includes the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes and appreciate that person for who they are. It's about being open-minded and receptive to others' beliefs and ways of life. When we are socially aware, we can empathize with others and take the time to understand how different people think and feel about different situations.
Social awareness includes topics such as curiosity, perspective-taking, diversity, empathy, respect, gossip, and kindness. This Unit gives students the opportunity to consider how the decisions they make will impact the world and, more specifically, how those decisions affect the people around them.
